The Sound Portraits evening is a sound experiment led by Barbara Jarque, with technical and artistic support from Genís Laguna (3d and landscape production). The project aims to approach individuals artistically, offering them a space to express themselves and share their personal stories in their own words.
The stories of three residents of Ostend serve as the foundation of the project, where their narratives are enhanced by a carefully crafted soundscape. The Sound Portraits are produced using surround audio, binaural techniques, and post-production methods, allowing the audience to experience a 3D audio sensation.
The project culminates in a group binaural listening session, where participants listen to the acoustic pieces through Bluetooth headphones, fully immersing themselves in the 3D sound experience.
